I’ll be busy telling gamers why “You Don’t Know What you Really Want: Why Game Players Don’t Understand What They Really Like About Video Games.”
Here’s the details:
Think you could make your favorite game better? Think you have an idea that could break the industry wide open? Think again!
Andrew Mayer, a game designer with numerous top selling titles, and fifteen years in the industry, shows you why what you think you want out of video games often isn’t what you really want at all, and how things that frustrate a player can be what you love the most. He’ll also take ideas from the audience and show how to break them down and make them into hit concepts.
If you’re going to be there come on over and see me. It’s going to be fun.
I liked the first Phonogram. It was a unique comic about pop music and magic that somehow managed to work in a medium that’s entirely devoid of audio.

Between this and Target:Women, it’s nice to see viral content from Current TV starting to show up on the web.
Euro Sc-Fi is always interesting to me. My experience tells me that they can get the beat right, but the songs aren’t always so good.
These trailers make the action look good, and with these kinds of films you often get amazing, hyper-imaginative visuals that are well outside of what traditional Hollywood films would ever consider. But there is also usually story filled with the kind earnest cliches that make me teeth ache.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, how about this: The Fifth Element was love! Yeah… great.
Okay, so this isn’t a genre film, but this is definitely a movie I’m looking forward to. I’m not an automatic fan of Judd Apatow, but with 40 Year Old Virgin, SuperBad, and Knocked Up he’s proven that he can make some damn funny movies.
Be warned that this is a red band trailer, so there’s swearing and plenty of pot-smoking.
There’s something about this trailer that reminds me of Midnight Run, and that’s a very good thing.
