I’m still not ready to say that I think this is going to be good. The music isn’t grabbing me, and the images seemed cramped. But it’s a ballsy, interesting thing, and I applaud them for giving it a try.
I mentioned this Joss Whedon side project a while back, which led to a number of posts on genre musicals.
Well, now there’s a trailer to look at!
I’m not sure I’m excited yet, but it definitely seems interesting…

They’ve just upgraded it, and it looks pretty spiffy now. Just in time for the movie!
Not sure if the movie is going to be great, but only time will tell.
Ah the Genre musical. What is the compulsion that drives a human to put science fiction, fantasy, or even horror, to music? It may be impossible to know for sure, but the masterpieces and misfires of film and television are both unique, and to be honest, often a bit disturbing.
